Enablement Spring Cleaning: Time to Let Go
It's that time of year again. There's something about spring cleaning that forces you to ask: Why am I still holding onto this?
It's that time of year again. The closets get cleaned out. Old clothes get donated. Things you haven't touched in a year suddenly feel very easy to let go of.
There's something about spring cleaning that forces you to ask: "Why am I still holding onto this?"
I've been thinking about that a lot… but in the context of Enablement. Because if we're being honest, we don't do this enough. We accumulate: Programs. Content. Requests. "Quick trainings" that never really go away.
And not all of it is helping. Some of it is outdated. Some of it is noise. Some of it is solving problems that don't exist anymore.
But we keep it. Because it feels safer to add than to remove. Over time, that's how Enablement gets heavy. And when everything feels important… nothing actually lands.
The best Enablement teams I've seen don't just build. They clean up.
So I'm kicking off a short series on something I think more of us should be doing: Enablement Spring Cleaning
Over the next few weeks, I'm going to break down: What to cut What to simplify What to double down on
Because most Enablement teams don't need more. They need less… but better.
